ROHINI
DAVID - SITE DIRECTOR & ADMINISTRATOR
Los
Angles needed getting used to when I first arrived here in 1999
despite having lived and worked in places as diverse as Hong Kong
and Zimbabwe for many years.
With
a degree in Business from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University,
majoring in Human Resources and a wealth of management and corporate
experience, I found myself in the entirely different field of
early childhood education. Different people; different pace; different
needs and wants. Luckily, UCLA allowed me the opportunity to change
career and qualify in early childhood education from which I have
gained much. I have been successful in getting the school associated
with two prestigious Montessori organizations i.e. Montessori
Institute of America and International Montessori Society and
also I am a member of PACE (Professional Association for Childhood
Education)
I
continue to attend classes and workshops to stay abreast of changes
and new ideas. However, by far the best education, the best knowledge
and insight, has come from the day to day lessons I have learnt
from our wonderful young children and their families. No two days
are ever alike at the center and each day is a new experience
and a challenge. Challenges I increasingly enjoy.
